Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Gaurdian Livestock Dog At Work. Monday, July 28, 2014. I took advantage of the rainy weather on the weekend and attended the Grassland Sheep Show in Drake Saskatchewan. So much to learn, so little time. In the judging ring was my supplier of breeding stock Rolly Bateman, of Braebank Farms. Rolly and his sheep won 1st place for best "pen of 5" and best "pen of 2" and second prize for best pen of 3". Thursday, July 24, 2014. Roast leg of lamb and fresh picked Saskatoon Berries!

Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Breeding season half over. The breeding of the mature ewes is almost done. Just a few ewes remaining. Our rams, Baffin, Gustov and BuBuKat, will get another try with these unbred ewes as they will all join the batch of the ewes born last spring. Tuesday, October 14, 2014. We have divided our mature ewes into two groups. One group will be mated with the ram Baffin and the other with BuBuKat. The average weight of the ewes is 167 lbs. Baffin sporting his mating harness.

Saturday, June 28, 2014. Our sheep are eager to help keep the yard tidy. They keep the grass short and clean around the trees. Tuesday, June 24, 2014. I need to build a larger fenced pasture as our five acres paddock system is not big enough. As a temporary solution we set up this small portable electric fence system. Sunday, June 22, 2014. Monday, March 24, 2014. Tractor Repair / Restoration. It started easy enough, I would just repair or adjust the pto clutch and investigate why I had low compression on number 2 cylinder. When I pulled the bottom cover off the clutch housing a pool of engine oil came out. So now I also had a rear engine seal leaking. This means that I had to split the tractor to replace the seal. Then I pulled off the cylinder head and found a exhaust valve that wasn't sealing. So I decided to repair the cracks. The first...
