Time for Warhammer 40k again! The past few days have involved a fair bit of tactical musings and army calculations, culminating last night in an inventory of all the Orks I have, and what still needs to be built. For the curious, here's the list. I've included potential upgrades (ones that are visible on the model), to aid in figuring out my army options. 21 slugga/choppa boyz, assorted colors. 5 slugga/choppa boyz, blue shirts (for trukk). 1 big shoota boy. 1 rokkit launcha boy. 2 biker Nobz with PKs.

Sunday, November 18, 2012. Last week I was in mood for apple crisp, but I couldn't find any apples that looked good at the store. So I decided to experiment and try something else. What I made instead was what I like to call my Harvest Berry Crisp. It uses mixed berries which on their own can be a little tart but with the crisp added on I found really delicious. Here is what I did. 1 1/2 cups of flour. 1 cup packed of brown sugar. 3/4 cups of granulated sugar. 1/2 teaspoon of salt. 1 1/2 cup of oatmeal.

Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies. 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened. 3/4 cup granulated sugar. 3/4 cup packed brown sugar. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate chips. 1 cup chopped nuts. I recently came back from a visit to friends in the UK and while there I found out how easy traditional Yorkshire puddings are to make. 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 3/4 cup milk, room temperature. 3 eggs, room temperature. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 425F. Add about a spoon full of olive oil to the bottom of each of the cups of the muffin tin. Put this in the oven until the oil is smoking. Warning. Don't let the oil burn. When they are done take them out and let cool for a bit.
