Duncan's Maquette Sculpture: Cat Warrior
http://skulboymaquette.blogspot.com/2008/08/cat-warrior.html
This was my first attempt at a figure maquette. I was in between jobs as a Sculptor for set construction and Akiko had got me a couple of the John Brown sculpting DVDs for Christmas. Looking at it now, I see plenty of problems with her, but it was a good start. I later went on to study under John Brown at Gnomon and learned a great deal. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://skulboymaquette.blogspot.com/2008/08/batman-head.html
I sculpted this 3" Batman head as test for a new material (Pro-Clay) I wasn't familiar with. I then molded it, casted it, painted it and sent it to a few of our friends. Duncan's Film Sculpture: THOR
http://skulboyfilmwork.blogspot.com/2011/07/thor.html
Knowing the comic book, I never thought Marvel would be able to pull off a live action THOR. Film I was completed overjoyed to witness Kenneth Branagh make it work. The end product, for me, put THOR. In my favorite top 3 comic book movies. In progress shot of the Frost Giant set. Another shot of the set before the floor was created. Your site is so nice. I like your site.
