Fisherman Kenny Bain Established our Farm in 1981 and over the next 27 years steadily expanded the business to a size of over 200000 oysters. Our main markets over that time where local and as part of a cooperative selling to the supermarkets. In 2008, Paul McGlynn (Kennys son in law) took over the day to day running of the farm and increased the site capacity to just under 2 million oysters. With the aim of increasing production to the cooperative. .

Oysters can be opened at the side and at the hinge. . The aim is to cut the muscle attaching to the top, flat shell and reserve the maximum liquor. .
