fleur délice: June 2009
http://fleurdelice.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 29, 2009. It's a bit late coming (his actual birthday was several weeks ago. Bad daughter! But better late than never, I s'pose. One of my earliest memories of my Dad is of him teaching me to swim, and later, to snorkel. I still love both (although I don't do enough snorkelling these days). We're always saying that we'll get our scuba-diving licenses together - maybe this summer we'll finally stop talking and actually do it? Without his quiet encouragement. And she has a special soft spot fo...

Tikiboo – behind the scenes. June 11, 2009 at 9:19 pm Posted in Uncategorized. I must confess to completely forgetting about the draw – I had the urge to sew…and when it strikes I need to take advantage of it before it departs, and becomes a chore! So…drumroll…the winner is…. Jo, with Bella! Congratulations. If there is any chance you could send me a photo of the room, that would be very helpful. For those that missed out this time, never fear, there will be more giveaways very soon….

Wednesday, July 30, 2008. I have too many clothes. and I can't bear to part with any. The rediscovery of the wardobe revamp day. A pretty plum Jacqui E cardigan circa 2002 and it fits like a dream. So Happy! The detailing up close and personal. The *ahem* wardrobe extension from Howards Storage. Best $250 ever spent I think. Super simple to put together, sturdy (unlike the aldi rack i had that literally collapsed) and it's very practical. Yet I still struggle to get dressed every day.haha. Storage idea f...

Food and Drinks Guide. Tag Archives: Indian food. May 6, 2013. We went to a musical play date this morning. It’s half an hours brisk walk from where we live, but today the sun is out and there’s no breeze so we had to walk pretty slowly and I had to wipe off the dripping sweat every other minute. But hey, it’s all exercise. On the way back Elliot couldn’t keep his eyes open anymore. Luckily he fell asleep just when we passed one of the many local eateries/hawker centres. September 17, 2010. Another reaso...

Food and Drinks Guide. January 3, 2014. What I loved yesterday. Sitting on the sofa in the early morning, blowing chocolate scented bubbles towards the rising sun. Elliot: ‘Bye bye bubbles. They’re all leaving. It smells like chocolate in here! It smells like doggie in here! Elliot carrying his tiny golden retriever, Bella who is named after my mum’s dog, under his arm most of the day. Hysterical giggles before bedtime when I mispronounced a word in one of his favourite books, 101 Dalmatians. Diagnosis, ...

Sew It Sarah: yet another bag!
http://sewitsarah.blogspot.com/2009/04/yet-another-bag.html
Friday, April 17, 2009. I made this one for my SIL. It's the first one that I gave away and I was kinda nervous giving it away as I thought I could see mistakes :) She didn't think so and said she loved it! It's another Amy Butler frenchy bag. Posted by Sew It Sarah. I knew you made nappies for Jack but I had no idea you sewed other stuff. I love this bag, the fabric is gorgeous. Well done! May 30, 2009 at 7:12 PM. Sew It Sarah: Brown spotty pants
http://sewitsarah.blogspot.com/2008/11/brown-spotty-pants.html
Tuesday, November 18, 2008. My second attempt at pants for my son. Oh I love them! They are so funky. But, they are too small  The legs were fine, but I took them in all the way round and made the waist too small. Such a shame. I have more of this fabric so might give it another go if there is enough. Posted by Sew It Sarah. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Im a newbie sewer who is itching to create, create, create! Sew It Sarah: Quilting you say?
http://sewitsarah.blogspot.com/2009/08/quilting-you-say.html
Saturday, August 29, 2009. Well seems I can quilt! A friend phoned me to say that the local church was holding a 4 week workshop on patchwork for beginners AND the cost was only $25 including materials. Why not! I've wanted to make quilts for the boys and this was the perfect way to see if I could do it. So far, I have been to 2 lessons and I've finished the top of the quilt. For the first week, I was the only one who turned up! Bit embarrassing at first, but it was kinda cool having a private lesson.

Alice in a Tea Cup: Dreams & Dysmorphia
http://aliceinateacup.blogspot.com/2008/07/dreams-dysmorphia.html
Friday, July 11, 2008. I'm going to be honest. Honest with myself and anyone who skims across this page. Fashion may be flimsy and fun and exciting and all of that stuff that gives you a rush when it just works but this week for me. well it just isn't. I think my prac uniform is the obvious culprit (see previous posts) but I don't think I can place the blame squarely on its shoulders. And without trying to be miss negativity I think the problem might be me. So I'm seeking brutal honesty and constructive ...
