Adventures in Hang Gliding. Friday, December 05, 2014. Yet another day when the conditions were not good for rookie paragliding at Wellfleet on Cape Cod. It was marginally soarable for hang gliders so I gave it a go with my hang glider (Falcon). I was having a good time until I made risky move during a lull. Adventures in Hang Gliding. Saturday, June 21, 2014. I was excited about Saturday all week. Not just because the best part of the cross-country season was fading away and not just because I would be grounded for a week or two as I visited family and not just because everyone else was excited. No, I was excited because the forecast looked great for a change. I reviewed a course on Friday evening that Randy Brown planned to fly from Hang Glide New England. Monday, August 4, 2014. Ron and I have been trying to get to Hemlock Lake for an overnight camp out for a while and the opportunity finally presented itself. John offered to drop us off at the north end and we paddled south to Stoney Beach. It threatened thunder storms off and on all evening but although it rained most of the night it never got severe. Monday, June 17, 2013. Tim is flyin' high. Tim Lewis is a success story, He wanted to learn to fly. But first he had to lose a lot of weight, basically an extra person. He found the motivation to do this by dreaming of hang gliding. It worked. He lost the weight, he built his endurance and enrolled in lessons.
