Drastically Depreciated Dialectics
March 19, 2011 by slackerinc. I’ve been a subscriber to Newsweek for several years now, and had been an occasional reader years before that. In the past two years, there have been two redesigns of the venerable but struggling newsmagazine. The latest, which debuted last week to poor reviews. Came after Newsweek was sold off and then ignominiously merged with the (also struggling) Daily Beast website. Magazine (launched among great fanfare. On the cusp of the millennium) went belly up after two years.

Slacker In The Kitchen. Slacking has never been so tasty. It’s time for hash. Chop chop and what do you know? A plate of hash …here we go! 2 tablespoons of butter. 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. A dash of garlic butter. 1 can of corned beef. O’Brien potatoes (cubed and pre-fried). Heat oil and butter, add corned beef, sautee for about 2 minutes then add potatoes. Add salt and pepper. Done! Soba in a jiffy. Soba noodles (four “bushels” for four servings). 1) 1/2 cup of soy sauce. 2) 1 cup chicken broth.
