Thursday, May 19, 2016. May 19, 2016 - An End and a Beginning. A Great Egret among the flowers. Swimming pool and view of bay at Longboat Harbour. Gulf beach at Longboat Harbour. View of canal from condo lanai. A canal connects the complex to Sarasota Bay. We have beach access across the street with restrooms and showers. (See photos of one of the swimming pools with Sarasota bay in background, and of the Gulf beach at Longboat Harbour.) It has every amenity on our list of desirable features.

Useppa anchorage from Sojourner. Chalk art at Venice art show. Sand sculpture at Siesta Key contest. It was soon apparent that the batteries had overheated while being charged. The result was that we ended up spending a week there getting a new inverter/charger installed and replacing all 12 batteries! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Tuesday, January 19, 2016. Tuesday, January 19, 2016 - A Sea Change. Sojourner's new name boards. On Sun., Jan. 3 we drove to Okemo, Vermont so Slade could get in four days of skiing. He belongs to the 70 Ski Club, a national organization that arranges trips and discounts for skiing seniors. It was his first trip with them and what an inspiration it was.
