Saturday, May 31, 2014. We thought Dubai was the hottest city, but Hanoi takes the win. That place is HOT! Other than that, it's really a beautiful city with friendly, beautiful people! We mainly went through Hanoi as a gateway to get to Sa Pa and Halong Bay but got plenty of time to explore Hanoi. It's full of culture and history from the war. We went to the Hanoi Hilton which was waaaaay more creepy than Alcatraz! The city is full of incredible foliage and incredible traffic! 8592; Newer Entries.

Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Thailand is known as the land of a thousand smiles, and I think that name quite suits it. They are all very friendly and welcoming and even stop to offer help when you look a bit lost. This is the only place we've ever been where language was a tiny bit of a barrier, but we were still able to communicate. The city really is spectacular- monsoon and all! The first day we got to Bangkok, we went to the Chatuchak weekend market which was HUGE. 27 acres! Wednesday, March 20, 2013.

Tuesday, July 16, 2013. We are finally back home! It took a fabulous 48 hours to get back due to a typhoon in our layover city of Taipei. Luckily, China Airlines put us in a nice, brand new hotel to wait out the delay. It was frustrating, but China Airlines took care of us, and we are home now!
