Wednesday, 30 May 2012. Chirp Chirp and Cheep Cheep. All over the garden, in the grass, in bushes, up high in the pergola there is a the sound of chirping and cheeping and that's without taking into account the nests in the thatch and the tree stump. It would seem that birds love making their home at our home. Fingers crossed they survive and let's hope they are little girls. In the garden it feels like summer is really on it's way with beautiful colours everywhere. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. I was beside ...

Wednesday, 26 September 2012. No New Clothes Challenge - Month 8. I'm so ashamed I nearly blew the whole No New Clothes Challenge for a long sleeved Orla Kiely. I even went as far as ordering it, trying it on and wondering how I could hide this purchase. I came to my senses though and sent it back, which was a bit silly as it cost me the postage but no one likes a cheater and I'm just about the worst liar in the world so would never have kept up the pretence. Wednesday, September 26, 2012. And amble down...

Great Slamseys Farm Diary. Monday, 21 May 2012. Over the years Notley Livery has changed hands and the facilities have expanded to include more stables and grazing, a tack room and feed store, menege and horse walker. But recently, the ever increasing price of feed combined with the general economic uncertainty has meant that some riders have sold their horse or decided that full livery is too expensive which means the livery yard has been forced to close. Great Slamseys Farm Diary: October 2012
http://greatslamseys.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Great Slamseys Farm Diary. Thursday, 11 October 2012. Stepping outside the back door this afternoon I was hit by the sound of a murmuration of starlings in the trees by the pond. They were so noisy that the guinea fowl just stood dumbstruck. The break in the wet weather gave us a chance to get the wheat drilled this morning. It's been a bit stop, go for drilling this year. Great Slamseys Farm Diary. Monday, 26 March 2012. Around the farm - Barn Field. I often write about the fields on the farm and I wonder if you have a true image of them. When I read in Australian blogs about paddocks I have to remember they aren't like a small English paddock. So, I thought I’d take you around our fields every now and then. Little Barn Field by the Yard. Earth bund next to Barn Field. When the latest barns were built, the excavated dirt was used to form an earth bund around the yard R...
