Read at your own risk! Asymp; Leave a comment. Since a lot of people seem concerned about government spending, I thought I’d share my thoughts. Bush set new records in government spending. Obama seems determined to break that record. Both parties seem to now embrace the concept that the government can fix all your problems just by spending your money. (Judging on actions, not on words.). And that’s all I have to say about that. Larr; Older posts. Thoughts on the State of Politics and Christianity.

Effective Income Tax | Phil's Blog

https://slapatree.wordpress.com/2012/01/25/effective-income-tax

Read at your own risk! Asymp; 1 Comment. Pausing at this point, I have to ask: do those numbers make sense? I’ve basically been in the middle class, and thinking back about my income taxes each year, I was thinking I was paying around 10%. Of course, I’m also single. If I were supporting a family, my taxes would go down with the additional deductions. Maybe that would land me at 3%. I don’t know. So, getting away from the tangents that perhaps only I am interested in, what’s my point? Larr; Previous post.

Purpose Statement | Phil in Ecuador

https://philinecuador.wordpress.com/purpose-statement

This is my purpose:. To share God’s love with the less fortunate, in practical ways. In order to expound on this, here are some thoughts. In the end, they’re just going to die anyway. If you ignore the spiritual, the people will feel devalued, will not trust you, and your task will have failed. We must, at a minimum, be willing to explore such spiritual topics. To do so requires preparation in that field. 3 Responses to “Purpose Statement”. 22 January 2007 at 9:38 am. I agree with your premise, that taki...

I'll Say It | I'll Say It

I'll Say It. I'll Say It. Brief Thoughts on Predestination. December 10, 2013. Hello friends. Slap had the uncomfortable opportunity recently to sit through a very poor lecture on the topic of predestination. It was one of those Bible Studies where an ancient, poorly read preacher got up and picked a topic, opened the Strong’s concordance, and just read all the verses that mentioned it. And Slap doesn’t claim to be an expert on this topic, but he wanted to weigh in on one point. We are all God’s ch...
