I'm looking forward to the coming weeks, as we will be going home to see my side of the family for Thanksgiving, and Kathy, Mom, and Jennifer will be going to a crafty type show to sell some things they've been working on, and then we'll get to see Kathy's family for another thanksgiving. :) Jay is going to have all kinds of relatives to see! Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Late night tonight. Little Jay and Kathy are finally sleepin. I hope they feel better tomorrow. :) I'm slowly getting over this crap, but now she's got it. I hope I remember that look he gave me when in the near future he's set fire to the couch, or broken his brand new computer, or told me he never wants to talk to me again. He's always gonna be mah lil boy. : ). Sunday, November 27, 2011. I took a picture of him last night, as he fell asleep on my knees facing toward me.

Tuesday, December 13, 2011. It frustrates me to no end knowing I could be making a difference, making things better all around, and I can't because I can't risk my family's security. I love coming home at night, getting to see my beautiful little boy and my lovely wife. I have so much to be thankful for! In short, I've been at wit's end for a while now, but I'll be damned if I'm going to let this get me, or hurt my family. I just wish I knew which way to take this. Sunday, December 11, 2011. Some good days this last weekend. My folks came up, and spent Saturday and part of Sunday with us. We got to go to Tuba Christmas! This is only the second year that it's been here in Ames, and it was pretty awesome. It was held in the church that we attend, First UMC, and the place was packed! I got some camera pictures, but nothing really good. Hopefulyl next year I'll get to play in the ensemble myself. I miss stuff like that, playing in bands and whatnot.

Sunday, July 22, 2012. My wonderful cousin, Cyndy, informed me of a Bountiful Baskets site in Des Moines. So we tried it this weekend and I am loving it! We got quite a lot of produce:. 1 bunch collard greens. We saved about $6.00 doing the basket, and we were lucky with the fact I was going to Des Moines anyway. Tuesday, November 27, 2012. Jay got his 18 month and flu shots today. He was so brave! He was a happy little boy all morning, then he had his shots. The crying didn't last long. Wednesday, April 24, 2013. I officially start back to Solum, Inc. on Monday. I had a nice talk with our HR director and she assures me that will be my start day. I may now work 40 hours for the first couple of weeks, but I will be going back to work. Our daycare provider is back and open again. Jay went for the day this past Monday and he had a great day! Some times a surprise cold bath following the smearing also gets the point across -not that Ive ever tried any of those. ;) Also, if you use cloth diapers, snaps instead of velcro often does the trick. Thursday, March 22, 2012. Jay had his final check-up in Iowa City on Friday. The doctor said it looked good and would like to see him again when he starts potty training. Saturday, June 30, 2012. Jay was very good for me on our drive to Miles on Thursday. He slept for a little while, but was fairly quite for the rest of the way. He played with his toys and looked at his books. He was rewarded with getting to swim in Grandma and Grandpa's pool! He was very excited to play with his cousins and all of the people we got to visit with. He has been so worn out! I had to take a picture so Jason would be jealous!
