The History of Slater Hall. How Do We Get There. This large, three story building, situated on 3.83 acres of property at the heart of the Slater-Marietta area. The bottom floor provides a large gym, stage, and auditorium area where the mill hosted community wide events including movies, dances, and holiday celebrations. The second and third floors provide additional meeting space used for a wide variety of purposes from children’s activities like scouting to senior citizens’ gatherings. We have made a lo...

Fundraising and Support for Slater Hall. Pave the Way to Revitalizing Slater Hall. The Slater Hall Citizen’s Committee is raising funds through the sale of personalized bricks that will be installed on the Slater Hall property providing a new hardscape in the front of the building. Bricks are full size 4x8 bricks with up to three lines of personalized text which can be secured with a donation of $50.00. Duplicate memorial bricks for your home and gift certificates are available as well. 5,000 and up.

Despite the in progress nature of Slater Hall's restoration, there are several active (and under development) community center programs at the hall and around Slater-Marietta. Greenville County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism. An Afterschool Program at Slater-Marietta Elementary School. A Summer Day Camp Program for rising 1st through 6th graders at Slater-Marietta Elementary School. A Senior Action location is located in the Slater Hall annex. Restoration

The restoration effort of Slater Hall is broken down into three elements. This consists of improvements to the grounds and a TWO phase renovation to the hall itself. Click here to view a tour of Slater Hall. Improvements to the grounds have included:. A new walking trail circling the campus. Resurfacing of the outdoor basketball court. Refurbishment of the horseshoe pits. Additional improvements include rehabilitation of sidewalks and handrails on the grounds. Electrical upgrades to the Hall- COMPLETE!
