Hey Mathew: Rehearsal Diary #6 - 29/9/08
http://heymathew.blogspot.com/2008/09/rehearsal-diary-6-29908.html
Project blog for the collaborative theatre project. Monday, 29 September 2008. Rehearsal Diary #6 - 29/9/08. The beginning of the second week sees Jonny and Jamie left up to their own devices. After meeting Chris in the morning for coffee and laughs, as Jonny spilt a lot of milky coffee down himself having just calmed down after seeing Chris fall over, the two boys ventured upstairs to embark on what turned out to be a physical, forensic and very important day for all. The day shifted and went on as did ...

Hey Mathew: Not quite diary
http://heymathew.blogspot.com/2008/10/not-quite-diary.html
Project blog for the collaborative theatre project. Saturday, 4 October 2008. 160;upsetting but also utterly, desolately pertinent to Goodman's experience of losing his son, and therefore something that I'd like to ask an audience to sit with. The hymn goes like this:. What's this that steals, that steals upon my frame? Is it death, is it death? That soon shall quench, shall quench this vital flame? Is it death, is it death? If this be death, I soon shall be. From every pain and sorrow free. Anybody who ...

Hey Mathew: Rehearsal diary #3 - 24/9/08
http://heymathew.blogspot.com/2008/09/rehearsal-diary-3-24908.html
Project blog for the collaborative theatre project. Thursday, 25 September 2008. Rehearsal diary #3 - 24/9/08. A truly, infinitely tired and emotional Tuesday evening gave way to as beautiful a Wednesday as it can be possible to wish for. Just Jonny and me in the room today and we took the opportunity to really slow everything down (except the rate of discovery - and, it has to be said, my pulse at some moments.). Riffing on his response to this first exercise, we decide Jonny should make an ad hoc.

http://heymathew.blogspot.com/2008/10/rehearsal-diary-9b-61008.html
Project blog for the collaborative theatre project. Monday, 6 October 2008. Rehearsal diary #9b - 6/10/08. Written without having read Jonny's post below - and which I'm going to read now! This evening I feel as if I'm about to star in a movie about virtuosic sleeping, most likely called 'Dog-Tired and Zzzzzz Boys': but I'm just going to squeeze out a quick blog post before Mr Sandman stuffs a Rohypnol-soaked handkerchief in my mouth and whisks me away to the Land of Extreme Nod. A spacious day altogethe...

Hey Mathew: Rehearsal diary #8- 2nd Oct 2008
http://heymathew.blogspot.com/2008/10/rehearsal-diary-8-2nd-oct-2008.html
Project blog for the collaborative theatre project. Friday, 3 October 2008. Rehearsal diary #8- 2nd Oct 2008. So today I arrived early in the cafe to do a little preparation, feeling a sense of excitement, responsibility. And desire to protect, help and encourage my friends in any way I possibly could in light of what,I felt, was the shows. New vulnerable and genuinely difficult stage of development. I was reading some stuff I had about Mladen. I don't know if it was in my head but when Jonny. Specifical...

Project blog for the collaborative theatre project. Wednesday, 8 October 2008. Rehearsal diary #10 - 7/10/08. Ran out of time and steam last night so here's a rare early morning instalment of reportage from the Hey Mathew Holodeck. Anyway, we're definitely installed in the room now, there's paper all over the walls and clothes all over the floor, and that beautiful feeling of "a room of one's own". 1) The shadow on my heart. 2) The city closing in. 3) Falling out of the clear sky. 12) A brave soldier.

Hey Mathew: Rehearsal diary 19/10/08
http://heymathew.blogspot.com/2008/10/rehearsal-diary-191008.html
Project blog for the collaborative theatre project. Sunday, 19 October 2008. 160;were being put through their terrifying paces. I'm certain I've seen over the past month in our room more that's touched and surprised and excited and confounded and aroused me than in a hundred visits to Tate Modern or whatever. Look can I confide in you? 160;words into a space of images and sensations that can themselves be thought with. It's sad and. 160;happy, sad because. All the same, I wish I wasn't sleeping alone ton...

http://heymathew.blogspot.com/2008/10/rehearsal-diary-whatever-171008.html
Project blog for the collaborative theatre project. Friday, 17 October 2008. Rehearsal diary #whatever - 17/10/08. I am beset with wretchedness and calamity. For the first time in 35 dutiful years, I forgot my dad's birthday. I mean, by a mile. Needless to say I'm anyway a bit tired and emotional - really. A long, long day (already - and it's barely begun! 160;be discovered instead. In fact today I would say was characterised partly by unusual levels of doubt, for all of us. Not doubt in relation to ...

Hey Mathew: Tumbleweed
http://heymathew.blogspot.com/2008/10/tumbleweed.html
Project blog for the collaborative theatre project. Monday, 13 October 2008. So unfortunately I won't be able to tell you right now what we've been doing since thursday, as I have only thirty minutes before Chris comes to pick me up and we bounce off to Toynbee studios for the day. What I will do though is post some poetry from my good friend Tomas Weber, who has been so generously following this process and who has offered to give us some words to use. Here are some in the form of three sonnets. Searchi...
