Spiritual Psychology: Accountability or Advocacy?
http://spiritualpsychoblogy.blogspot.com/2013/04/accountability-or-advocacy.html
Exploring Psychology and Spirituality. Tuesday, April 02, 2013. Christian circles often emphasize accountability as a crucial component of spiritual growth. The idea is that we should not be able to live an invisible life that escapes the scrutiny of someone else. However, when I think of how God (and Jesus) interacted with his people, accountability does not seem like a word to describe this relationship. I think a better word is advocacy. Spiritual Psychology: January 2010
http://spiritualpsychoblogy.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Exploring Psychology and Spirituality. Thursday, January 28, 2010. The Psychology of Music. Music is an interesting phenomenon for psychologists. Music is ubiquitous and fundamental to human culture. But the tools of psychology seem, at first glance, to be unable to capture the dynamic experience of music. I'm not sure if I will revisit this topic but I thought it would be fun to share some psychological articles I have read about music. First of all, what makes a person a good musician? And do so. I...

Spiritual Psychology: December 2009
http://spiritualpsychoblogy.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Exploring Psychology and Spirituality. Friday, December 18, 2009. What Defines Spiritual Maturity? Lately, I've been wrestling with how we might conceptualize Christian spiritual maturity. Here are a few options that I have been considering. Moral behavior - a person who engages in acts of service and giving and who does not engage in behavior that can be harmful to their self or others. Now, I know this is broad - how does one judge what is harmful? But is this even the right track to explore? Beliefs -...

Spiritual Psychology: November 2008
http://spiritualpsychoblogy.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Exploring Psychology and Spirituality. Saturday, November 22, 2008. Research on imitation has found that humans are born with an innate ability to imitate. Newborns. Why is this important? Mirror neurons would mean that when a toddler sees another toddler playing with a toy, they will experience pleasure as if they themselves were playing with that toy, to a limited extent. That toddler will have desire for the toy awakened in him/her and will want to play with the toy. Where am I going with all this?

Spiritual Psychology: Faith and Fear
http://spiritualpsychoblogy.blogspot.com/2013/03/faith-and-fear.html
Exploring Psychology and Spirituality. Sunday, March 17, 2013. Does having faith mean that we never feel fear? Some people, in fact a lot of Christians, believe that it does. They point to Scripture, such as “Fear not, for I am with you” (Isaiah 41:10). I think that oversimplifies the matter. Can you imagine someone who never. Felt fear and how often their life would be in danger? Its very great article and i find a nice game plese click this web site. elo boosting. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Spiritual Psychology: October 2009
http://spiritualpsychoblogy.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Exploring Psychology and Spirituality. Friday, October 30, 2009. Following this past weekend's conference, I thought it would be nice to review some of prominent theories in the psychology of religion. These theories have to do with how we can conceptualize religion and spirituality. As they developed in the realm of psychology, some of them may strike religious believers as being unusual or atheistic. I will discuss the implications of them as I currently understand them. Thursday, October 29, 2009.
