Friday, July 31, 2009. SQL server 2005 Replication/Restoration of publisher database. We had to restore a database for wich merge replication was set up with a backup on which replication was not setup. In such a scenario following steps were followed :-. 1 Script Replication Settings-. Delete all subscriptions, publisher etc. Also manually remove all jobs related to the concerned replication. Select replication in SSMS and mark it for reinitialization with a new snap shot. Hope this may help!
