Tuesday, November 02, 2004. NFL Week 8 Wrap Up. I am watching Desperate Housewives while writing this What town do these women live in? I may have to move. This show would be much better on HBO (but what show wouldn’t). but I digress. Until the Yanks and Sox start making some off-season moves, we may as well talk NFL. How about those Patriots? Speaking of the NFL Is anyone else sick of all the smack talk that goes down on EVERY play? Posted by The Sports Critic at 7:01 PM. View my complete profile. Jason...

The Sports Critic: February 2004

Sunday, February 15, 2004. A-Rod is coming to town . Where were you when you heard that the Yankees were going to sign Alex Rodriguez? I was enjoying a romantic weekend in the country with my fiancé. And let me tell you, all romantic activity promptly stopped the second I heard the news. She wasn't surprised nor disappointed by my quick change of focus, a very level headed reaction to the news on her part. Who is to blame? New Yorker's will want a head and unfortunately it won't be Hillary's. Having take...

The Sports Critic: August 2004
http://thesportscritic.blogspot.com/2004_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 15, 2004. I am not sure how to feel towards USA basketball. As an American, my duty is to cheer them on. As a consumer, I want to spit them up. Is it un-patriotic not to cheer for them? Assuming this team chokes big time (which is looking real good), the big question is, who is to blame? Posted by The Sports Critic at 6:51 PM. New York, New York, United States. View my complete profile. Say goodbye to hollywood, say goodbye Manning. No more Tom Brady. Red Sox and Yankees are back at it .

The Sports Critic: April 2004
http://thesportscritic.blogspot.com/2004_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 25, 2004. While watching the first few minutes of the NFL draft, we were all painfully reminded about the death of Pat Tillman. The NFL honored the fallen hero in the moments preceding the draft. Minutes later, it was equally painful to watch Eli Manning reluctantly hold up a San Diego Chargers uniform. I thought the guy was going to start crying. What would Pat Tillman think of Eli Manning? As if we even have to ask.). Will he demand a trade? Posted by The Sports Critic at 6:14 PM. April 1...

The Sports Critic: January 2004

Sunday, January 25, 2004. There isn’t much faith in Jake in the betting community. Carolina is a 7 point underdog in most sports books. The Super Bowl is often about the media creating a good story. Young men overcoming adversity to become champions on a World stage. Cast Jimmy Smits in it, and you have a modern day Stand and Deliver The Player . What is this years story? Posted by The Sports Critic at 6:01 PM. Sunday, January 11, 2004. A 5 year, $70 million contract with the Anaheim Angels. This equ...

Monday, May 31, 2004. Kevin Garnett, Save us . Normally I wouldn't beg a professional athlete to save the viewing public from another year of suffering, but these are unique times. Game 6 of the Western Conference NBA finals between the Lakers and Timerwolves will require an act of God to save us all from Lakers hell. Kevin, Be our savior! Where is Tanya Harding and her redneck boyfriend when you need her? I wouldn't mind a tire iron to Shaq's jaw to shut his loud mouth up. And while we are at it, le...

Sunday, June 13, 2004. Top 10 Reasons the Lakers should lose. With the Lakers down 2-1, Detroit has effectively teased the nation. But will they put out? There are many reasons why the Lakers should lose, here are just a few:. 8) Everyone is sick of Jack Nicolson. It was tolerable when he used to bring those bimbo, social climbing actresses, but if he is going to sit with other guys, there is no point on aiming the camera his way. 7) Cause there is no "I" in team. A Detroit Pistons victory would be a...

Tuesday, October 19, 2004. 2004 World Series Predictions. St Louis Cardinals vs. Boston Red Sox. At least Yankees fans won’t have to root for Roger Clemens. Pujols, Edmonds, Rolen and Walker will have to save Yankees fans from years of torture. They have a good chance in my opinion. I can see a Red Sox meltdown, and it goes something like this. The Boston Red Sox are no more. Posted by The Sports Critic at 6:58 PM. Sunday, October 17, 2004. 2004 ALCS Game 3 Log. 8:35 pm Lazy Manny beats out an infield si...

The Sports Critic: March 2004
http://thesportscritic.blogspot.com/2004_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 19, 2004. After weeks of wedding planning, I finally have time to sink my teeth back into the sports world. What has happened since my last column. There is still bickering in the media about Major Leagues Baseball feeble drug testing policy. Boston Red Sox center fielder Johnny Damon said everyone in baseball knew steroid use had been going on in recent years but it was ignored because it contributed to more home runs and interest. Tell it like it is Johnny! NBA news. Does anyone care?
