Welcome to The Slipper Club of Dallas' website! Founded in 1934, Slipper Club was the first women's social club in Dallas and today boasts more than 500 active members. The club was founded by Mrs. Mary Blankeny Mallon, Mrs. Lavonne "Bonnie" Compton Crawford, Mrs. Lucy Jo Davis Burnett, and Mrs. Sally Dunlap Tetreau. The women were four Idlewide debutantes who designed The Slipper Club to be an organization that would promote friendships among Dallas' future female leaders. Comments are off for this post.
