Pears - Sloop Orchards

Bartlett harvest is over for 2016. We are currently picking Anjou pears (see note below on cold storage needs). Bosc pears available starting Monday, September 5. We grow Green Bartletts, Green d'Anjous, and Bosc pears. These are available in season by the box. Anjou and Bosc - $9/box. Call to order: 509-969-6763 - Linda. Bartletts are the traditional canning pear. The Anjou and Bosc varieties are considered "winter pears" and are great for eating fresh. Click here. Ripening dates below are approximate.
Peaches - Sloop Orchards

Peach harvest has ended for 2016. No debit or credit cards. Don't have regular hours for peaches (since picking is dependent on ripeness, weather, watering schedule.) so they are not. Call ahead to ensure availability, order and schedule pickup. Note: We are closed on Saturdays - no calls please. Peaches are available field packed by the box ( 22-24 lbs/box). The peaches are picked "firm" so that they can be packed in a box without becoming mush. Allow 3-5 days for ripening. Of our peaches are freestone.
