March 20, 2013. Yet another absurd holiday, but I am a fan of this one:) I was going to write about my engagement story, but I will save that for another day and share some lovely gooey-favorite quotes instead in the spirit of the day! Here are five favorites:. LM Montgomery, Anne of Avonlea. Emma and Mr. Knightley. Jane Austen, Emma. Clark Kent and Lois Lane. What took you so long? Confused, realizes she knows. Don’t cry, Shopgirl. Don’t cry. I wanted it to be you. I wanted it to be you so badly. Leave ...

Person has a desperate confidence that they won’t. F Scott Fitzgerald, This Side of Paradise. When thinking of this phrase (“the keepsake”) I started thinking of all the keepsakes in books and movies. A few I thought of were:. The falsely-taken lock of hair in. To name just a few. My Step In Time. Keeping up with the beat of life. Books, Blogs, and Busy-ness. March 31, 2015. I used to post on here once a week…or at least once every other week…would you believe once a month? OK, me either. But it’s March 31st, a beautiful Tuesday night, and I’m sitting up in my bed watching my demon cat chase her own tail. Might as well blog, right? I actually do have more to blog about than just my crazy cat. (. So first of all, some. REASONS why I haven’t blogged much this month…. One morning I t...

The Closing of A Chapter – My Step In Time

My Step In Time. Keeping up with the beat of life. The Closing of A Chapter. May 6, 2015. A great memoir of college student-teaching, so proud of all this girl has overcome to touch the next generation. Excellent definition of a balanced teacher and classroom! A good teacher is like a candle- it consumes itself to light the way for others. To get everything out on the table, I know that there is controversy of teaching in a Christian school or teaching in a public. Disney Piano = 1 Incredible Summer!

My Step In Time. Keeping up with the beat of life. July 7, 2015. July 7, 2015. A day to celebrate the USA, freedom, patriots, and heroes who gave their lives; our history, our heritage. I grew up in a patriotic household. My mother’s birthday is July 4th, and she couldn’t be happier sharing her birthday with America. Both of my grandfathers were in the military. I have eight. Great uncles–all brothers to my special Grandmom Koechig (she was the only girl of nine kids! A Modern Library Original. I love ho...

My Step In Time. Keeping up with the beat of life. When All You Want to Do is Hide. May 8, 2016. May 8, 2016. So this is what my blog looks like, I almost forgot! It’s been a while…😉. April and May are whirlwind months every year for me, but this year they have flown by before I can even catch a breath. Two state competitions for my piano students, three piano recitals, field trips with Kali, programs for my elementary music classes… the calendar on the fridge is full. Probably most of you can relate!

https://mystepintime.com/2015/06/11/disney-piano-1-incredible-summer
My Step In Time. Keeping up with the beat of life. Disney Piano = 1 Incredible Summer! June 11, 2015. June 11, 2015. How is it already June 10th? Feels like just yesterday it was the beginning of May and Abe and I were looking at our crazy May schedule. And wondering if we could make it to the other side without crashing and burning. But May came and went in a whirlwind and here we are, in the good old days of summer. Soaking up the sun and enjoying more free time! So I brainstormed with my sister (an el...

something blue . . . – fanciful
https://thefanciful20something.wordpress.com/2013/03/20/something-blue
Something blue . . . March 20, 2013. Something old, something new. Something borrowed, something blue. And a silver sixpence in her shoe. I had never heard the last part, but I think it’s a sweet tradition. One I definitely would like to keep (but I don’t need the sixpence:). I’ve been thinking of what I want my “something blue” will be– personally I think a blue gown would be cool, but I think that idea might be unpopular . . . I saw an article. Here’s a pic in progress:. Organization: the right brainer.
