Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) is a genetic neuromuscular disease characterized by muscle atrophy and weakness. The disease generally manifests early in life and is the leading genetic cause of death in infants and toddlers. SMA is caused by defects in the Survival Motor Neuron 1 (SMN1) gene that encodes the SMN protein. The SMN protein is critical to the health and survival of the nerve cells in the spinal cord responsible for muscle contraction (motor neurons).

Monday, May 23, 2011. I have wanted to make a sunburst mirror for a while now and finally had the chance thanks to repainting my entire living room. Almost all of my prior decorations won't match in the new living room, so I'm basically going to make all new decorations. Yay! Stay tuned to follow my journey of crafting and decorating. Hans mamma börjar dock känna lite ångest över att det bara en liten kort kort sommar kvar innan hon måste återgå till arbetet och inte får mysa med sin älskade son hela dagarna längre. Vi har en jättefin klätterställning som är barnens favorit. Även rutschkanan är en favorit. Naturligtvis finns det skyddsmattor under både klätterställningen och rutschkanan. Här tränar barnen bl.a sin grovmotorik. De testar också hur långt upp de kan klättra. Det finns alltid en närvarande pedagog som håller koll. God och näringsrik mat.
