My experiences as a conditioner have given me special insight into the process of breaking young horses to saddle and rider. I am aware of the skills they will need for optimal performance in their training routines and spend extra time reinforcing those skills early and often. I begin this process in the relaxed environment at the farm. As each horse is ready he will progress from the stall, to the round pen, and then into the fields. The Thoroughbred Club of America-. The oldest of Phil's two boys has joined the operation as an Assistant. Matt spent his youth working on the family farm in Georgetown, learning how to care for the racehorses when they came home to be freshened.
