Grateful Glimpses: October 2012
http://deckerkrew.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Discovering more of God's goodness in everyday life. Thursday, October 11, 2012. Without going into too much detail, life has been tough lately. The newness of life here is wearing off.the 'meet the neighbors' excitement has subsided, school is in full swing, and the Fall programs at church are underway. And I have been feeling pretty lonely. Anyways, I don't write to depress anyone - I actually am here to offer encouragement in the wee hours of the morning as I have discovered some hope of my own. WOW F...

Grateful Glimpses: September 2012
http://deckerkrew.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Discovering more of God's goodness in everyday life. Thursday, September 13, 2012. Back to blogging.with a confession. :). Soit's been an awfully long time since I have sat and thought and typed and processed and muddled through the mess of jumbled jargon in my brain. Sometimes it's just easier not to go there. :). I have a confession - I am an Israelite. Don't get me wrong, I KNOW God is good, and every day I tell God that I trust Him - every day I ask for His help and pray that He will show me more of ...

Grateful Glimpses: August 2013
http://deckerkrew.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Discovering more of God's goodness in everyday life. Wednesday, August 28, 2013. In light of some great questions from my Krew yesterday, my brain has been buzzing. I love how kids do that, how their own youthful wonderings spark our grown-up thought processes and help us learn and grow right alongside them. Tuesday's conversation was in response to the verse of the day, which we share and discuss each morning over breakfast. The verse for yesterday was. 1 Thessalonians 5:15, which says,. It is in the ab...

Grateful Glimpses: June 2013
http://deckerkrew.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Discovering more of God's goodness in everyday life. Tuesday, June 4, 2013. I don't fully understand how a person can experience such drastically opposite emotions at exactly the same time, but this is a situation that I find myself in from time to time, and especially so during these past few days. How I can experience such intensely opposing feelings at the very same time will remain a mystery. Even the term 'bittersweet' comes nowhere close to doing justice to such emotions. But God is doing what is.

Grateful Glimpses: January 2011
http://deckerkrew.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Discovering more of God's goodness in everyday life. Monday, January 31, 2011. Oh, my.I just realized that I mistakenly left out the post about everyone's first day of school this (er.last) year. Whoops! I was apparently too busy posting about everyone's birthdays and activities to remember that our kiddos experienced some 'new beginnings' with this new school year (which is now conveniently half-over.I really. Am going to get better at this blogging thing, I promise! Kessler is experiencing his 'newness...

Grateful Glimpses: May 2011
http://deckerkrew.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Discovering more of God's goodness in everyday life. Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Rooting for the Underdog. A sunny spring evening - perfect for a baseball game. Watching some tough losses earlier in the season reminds that the team is still learning, growing. Coach Dad encourages fun, no matter the score, but when the 10-run-rule brings an early end to the first few games, fun becomes quite a challenge. In all things God works for the good of those who love Him." Romans 8:28. 350 Finding as much joy in celebr...

Saved by Grace: Alpacas - One Decade
http://nancystepp.blogspot.com/2010/06/alpacas-one-decade.html
A little of this and a little of that from a woman who is simultaniously living in multiple seasons of her life. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is a gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10 (ESV). Friday, June 4, 2010. Alpacas - One Decade. Alpaca fiber (or fleece) which is equivalent.

Grateful Glimpses: April 2011
http://deckerkrew.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Discovering more of God's goodness in everyday life. Saturday, April 30, 2011. Time to be honest. A major blow up from an unpredictable and highly emotional son (who apparently rides the same roller coaster as his mother) leaves little desire for blogging or giving thanks tonight. Eating would be the preferred activity of choice, eating and watching television. Alone. Why did a good day, a beautiful day, have to end like this? Especially with this child? To reprogram my thinking? Well, a major reprogramm...

Discovering more of God's goodness in everyday life. Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Here are the promised snapshots of our family trip to the stables as a part of Katelyn's birthday celebration. As you will see, every one of us got up on a horse (though a certain person refused to ride), and we also were blessed to have our 2 oldest nieces along! Glad we got to enjoy one of your favorite hobbies, Katelyn, even if it was freezing cold! Kynzie was absolutely THRILLED to be on a horse like her. Home with the Boys.
