Layout Spotlight Slate Creek Mining. July 1, 2015. I am always looking for layouts with character. While looking at many Gn15 layouts for ideas i came across this video for the Slate Creek Mining Railroad by Dirk Becker. One of the first things that caught my eye was the great use of color and the attention to detail. I found myself at Korber Models. Website today and while browsing their building kit offerings, noticed that they offer a Quonset hut. That will be of use when I get around to building Motor Parts Distributors. It has a double Quonset hut at the top of the property next to Terrace St. Some of the detail parts.
