http://theimperfectperfecthorse.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
The Imperfectly Perfect Horse. Saturday, 1 November 2014. As the snow comes in and everything is quietly going to sleep for the long cold of winter, Koda and I hit the point road for an easy trail. Now, Koda has had a few days off, and with the changing temperatures he can get to be a bit feisty, but nevertheless I wanted to go out on this solo ride. We headed out down the road. The Point Field Road. The bribe to ride out nicely :). Sneaking treats from the trailer. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Eventing I...

The Imperfectly Perfect Horse: February 2014
http://theimperfectperfecthorse.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
The Imperfectly Perfect Horse. Friday, 28 February 2014. This is a true worry with Koda up here, he doesn't grow much winter coat. This year I kept his blanket off for as long as possible, and still he didn't fluff up half as much as the other horses were. So, Koda got to be babied all winter long and wear his blankies. (As an aside: between the Original Rambo and Smartex Bucas, the Bucas wins hands down). On the way to the barn. Thursday, 13 February 2014. Back from the Abyss! Since it's still all ice a...

http://theimperfectperfecthorse.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
The Imperfectly Perfect Horse. Monday, 26 May 2014. Trot sets, Rollbacks, and Schooling. As the weather gets better and better, Koda and I are ramping up our training regime. We've embarked on our first trot set (oh goodness. need to plan those better), did a super cool jump school at the arena, and did a basic flat school at home. I really want both Koda and I to be fit for our up coming season so my thought was let's do some trot sets! All ready to trot! Quick graze before heading home. Lesson learned:...

The Imperfectly Perfect Horse: January 2014
http://theimperfectperfecthorse.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
The Imperfectly Perfect Horse. Sunday, 26 January 2014. While doing these picture posts, I've realized that the layout of the barn may seem a bit. wonky. So, to help visualize the layout of the barn, I put my computer paint skills to the test to create a semi-decent layout so that you guys will have an idea of how the barn is really set. For some idea of comparison, here are some photos to give you an idea of what is shown in the layout:. Facing north, back field with a bit of the corral visible. 3 View ...

The Imperfectly Perfect Horse: Fairview Fall Finale
http://theimperfectperfecthorse.blogspot.com/2014/10/fairview-fall-finale.html
The Imperfectly Perfect Horse. Monday, 6 October 2014. The first day was a bit crazy as I'd forgotten how long it took to braid and was starting to panic! Once I had finished, I didn't have anything else for that day until the evening, so the hubs and I went into town to run some errands. When we got back, I picked up my test and surprise surprise, Koda and I got second place, with a 7 for rider position and another 7 for harmony between horse and rider! He looks so cute here. Attitude in the tail flip.
