And we were taken back into the bible to bring the story of Mary and Martha to life. http://iffs-smc.blogspot.com/2010/03/new-covenant_28.html
Sunday, 28 March 2010. Today we welcomed two new families into IFFS, just in time to celebate Easter! And as it's almost Easter, we asked what Jews traditionally celebrate at this time of year. Do you know? Take a look at the video below to watch the story :. When Jesus shared the Passover meal with his disciples (Read Mark 14:12-16). He was observing the traditional Jewish custom; however, this time it was very different as Jesus did something new, and had something important to tell his disciples.

IFFS: April 2010
http://iffs-smc.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, 25 April 2010. Parable of the Sower. Today was the St George's Day service at St Mary's, so unfortunately many families were unable to stay on for IFFS today. Thank you to Jo, who did however, and for the valuable conversation we had after the service. This reminded us of a popular Facebook game, Farmville, where players build and care for a farm. We looked at the parallels in the ideas, and discussed the different aspects. God has made you, and the field represents your life. He gets rid of it!

IFFS: November 2009
http://iffs-smc.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, 22 November 2009. IFFS : Prepare The Way! As we begin to think about Christmas, IFFS started today with a quiz to test our knowledge of the Nativity. Everyone had fun working out the answers, and the result was that we all. Need to dust off our Gospels and read the Nativity Story again - how easy it is to remember the school plays, christmas carols, and yet forget the details of God's wonderful gift that first Christmas. As we had been learning about giving, everyone was presented with a box wrap...

IFFS: October 2009
http://iffs-smc.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, 25 October 2009. IFFS was visited by Bartimaeus this afternoon, a cheerful puppet who told us of how meeting Jesus changed his life! Everyone learned about how Bartimaeus, despite being a poor beggar in a crowd of noisy people, called out to Jesus - and Jesus heard him, stopped, and cured him of his blindness! We thought about how we are like beggars, who need to call out and receive a touch from Jesus. Life can be so busy and loud, would Jesus hear us? Of what Jesus can do for us. We declare.

IFFS: Parable of the Good Samaritan
http://iffs-smc.blogspot.com/2010/02/parable-of-good-samaritan.html
Sunday, 14 February 2010. Parable of the Good Samaritan. IFFS opened this time with a reading from Luke 10 :. On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life? What is written in the Law? He replied. "How do you read it? So who is our neighbour? We looked at how the priest and levite actually harmed the beaten up man by their inaction, and asked if we would help someone who was in need. Would we help if we saw a friend? A new comman...
