Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Things I Did Yesterday 31/08/10. It's a slow burn. And yesterday I:. Came home to a very tired, hungover wife. We ordered some pizza in which took more than and hour and a half to arrive! During which we watched Whip It, which was a very middling, formulaic film, to be honest. It had promise, but just dragged things out and made far too little of the rollergirls themselves. It wasn't terrible, but I couldn't recommend it. Fell into bed and was asleep in record time. Grizzled Blog: April 2010
http://grizzled-dog.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 16, 2010. Things I Did Yesterday 16/04/10. Not given up yet. But yesterday I:. Worked. No Josh, so I had to get in extra early to get the new comics out on the shelves and get as much of the filing done as possible. Started at 7am and worked through lunch so was able to finish at 2.30pm, which wasn't bad at all. Good morning too: got the filing finished by about 10.15. Otherwise did the Marvel advance order adjustments and worked on the till. And then I did rest. Thursday, April 08, 2010.

Art School Purgatory: New Drawings
http://lydirae.blogspot.com/2008/04/new-drawings.html
April 21, 2008. This semester has only had one art class in it. I'm not all that disappointed, the only problem is that the other classes are Chemistry, Biology, and other general education units not worth mentioning. Otherwise, things are going well. So well, in fact, that I'm considering this as a new style. The entire peice in its shady, blurry glory. It measures 30" wide by 44" high. Close-up of left center. Close-up of upper right above heart. Close-up of center Eagle. View my complete profile.

Art School Purgatory: A game of catching up.
http://lydirae.blogspot.com/2008/10/blog-post.html
October 21, 2008. A game of catching up. Been a little while, I'm sorry to say. As I'm at work I'll keep this short. Here's something I sculpted in Barron Storey's conceptual illustration class. And something that's a small portion of a large canvas I'm working on. I love how charcoal can look after being worked and re-worked. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. January 6, 2010. I graduated so now the title of this blog is no longer appropriate. My apologies for allowing the updates to fall by the wayside. I must assure everyone that even if I appear to have fallen off the face of the planet, the artwork has not. See the current body of work at LydiRaeBlack.com. And the in progress work at Four Days A Week. I must reccomend the Daily Painters. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Colored pencil and acrylic paint on mylar.

Ux & product design. Essays & talks. Ux & product design. Essays & talks. Smashing Telly is a hand edited collection of the best free, instantly available TV on the web. Not 30 second clips of a dog on a skateboard, or the millionth person to mime the Numa song, but classic clips and full length programs, with a focus on documentaries and non fiction. Smashing Television, not Gimmick Television . I’m particularly fond of SmashingTelly given how it, in effect, Tivo-ifies the web Guy Dickinson:.
