Saturday, January 11, 2014. Bernardino and Benita's house when we first got there. They tore down their existing house two weeks before we got there and moved in to the block room. Neftali and some of the locals did the footing/foundation for us! To keep everybody as busy as possible, we had some other projects. We painted the exterior of the house that we built last year. We affectionately called it the "Smurf House"! We got the floor finished part way through the second day. Then we started on the walls.

Saturday, December 14, 2013. This is the lot that we built on in December 2012. Setting trusses on house. Busy nailing shingles before the snow storm hits. Installing insulation before sheetrock. Showing off the finished front exterior. The roof is complete! I think we overworked them! Some of the volunteers with the recipient family. Footing/foundation formed for one of the 2013 houses. Some of the locals residents helped to mix the concrete for the footing/foundation. Placing the concrete in the forms.
