Sunday, January 17, 2010. It is maybe easier to (pretend to) forgive but not to (pretend to) forget …. Our phone sessions usually comprises of recent updates: my mom updating me on things going on in my extended family in Malaysia and me on things mostly related to my son’s milestones these days to the excited grandparents. Some days, we talk about past events: sweet memories that are so worth remembering and worth repeating in conversations to evoke laughter and pleasant memories. For instance, suppose ...

Friday, October 30, 2009. Burnin’ Love, Whiskey River! Yes, those were the names of the burgers we had for lunch today :) I had this urge to bite into a big juicy burger and so off we headed to the. For instance, I like my sandwiches/burgers at Mimi’s Café or Zous Mediterranean Café and burgers at Fuddruckers and now Red Robin is on the list. Another restaurant with extensive menu that gives you a hard time selecting. From the Classic Gourmet Burger category. A tender, juicy charbroiled chicken breast ba...

One of the ways you can actually see how time has slipped by so quickly is by checking and realizing that the last time you updated your blog was like ages ago! So many months have passed, so many things have happened and changed since the last time I was here. Now we are back at home and again we are moving along, being swept away by the wave called life. So far it’s been smooth ride. Fingers crossed, 2011 be splendid!

Sunny Side Up!: February 2009

Wednesday, February 11, 2009. Hubby and I started our 2008 with a three-day old baby. All the 12 months of the year were endlessly filled with so many new challenges and changes that brought us both closer as spouses. Most importantly, we both grew as parents as we watched our baby grow from a fragile infant to a robust toddler. 8221;, I thought as I almost bit my fingers. I mean it took me days to pack the stuff that was needed for our local vacation. With a young one in tow, I cannot imagine ho...I sta...

Sunny Side Up!: November 2008
http://voilasheila.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 27, 2008. Hey, it's Turkey Day! Then, it's prettily decorated, complete with cute paper booties for the drumsticks! Wait, there's more. At the dining table, the succulent-looking, all stuffed-up turkey is carved with special utensils. On top of that, the side dishes are planned accordingly to match-up to the majestic centerpiece - our dear, roasted, feathered friend. (Visual aid: see before-after pics below). Still feeling bad for 'em turkeys? Meat-free, guilt-free :). The wild turkey ...

Thursday, July 9, 2009. Love Is What You Make Of It. For Kish and Vish who fill my life with so much love. Blooming garden of red roses,. Sweet-smelling, perfumed ambience. Sun-bright day, full of promises,. Picturesque sceneries, life's essence. Songbirds with sweet voices,. Euphonious serenades that delight mankind. Witnessing these, with joy my heart bounces. Attributes of nature, one of its kind. There is no denial to nature's exquisiteness,. As it vigorously provides us soaring spirit.

Sunny Side Up!: August 2009
http://voilasheila.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 20, 2009. Hey, we are not attention freaks, we just deserve it! No, I am not a bra-burner and this post is not at all intended to bicker on the outdated notion that men lead a better life than their female counterparts. I think we woman are so over that cliché now that it is globally recognized that a woman can lead a positively engaging life if she has a will to do so. What about the area where most guys look at while talking to girls: the chest! To men, the breasts are just a womanR...
