I've been exposed to a number of needle arts throughout my life. From crewel embroidery and needlepoint as a child to bead weaving, applique, hardanger and Swedish embroidery, and cross stitch as an adult. I enjoy experimenting with yarn, floss, thread, ribbon, fabric, and canvas. Coming soon: new Smiling Cat designs! Smiling Cat Studio, 2015.

At the moment, most of my linoleum block prints (linocuts) are available only as notecards. I've taken the original print, scanned it, cleaned it up in photoshop, resized it to fit a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card, and printed the cards on acid-free white cardstock on my black and white laser printer. The cards come with white invitation envelopes, packaged in a flap-sealed clear bag or using or giving. Smiling Cat Studio, 2015.

What to do with unusable linoleum block prints and paintings? Why cut them up and turn them into jewelry, of course! The colorful and graphic pendants come from pieces of my artwork that isn't ready for primetime. The kitties? They're reduced versions of the images you see on my note cards. Each piece is placed in a pendant and covered with a glass dome to make a unique piece of wearable art. Smiling Cat Studio, 2015.

These graphic cat cards came out of an effort to create a generic cat face that I could use for an embroidery project. And then the cat began to change colors and wear different hats. This kitty will be translated to thread and fabric soon, but for now its available in cards and prints. Smiling Cat Studio, 2015.
