Travel Like a Local. Things To Do When You Visit Nova Scotia. October 4, 2016 at 5:24 pm. Things To Do When You Visit Nova Scotia. October 4, 2016. I’ve never heard that before, that it was someone’s dream to come to Halifax. Jenn, my server at The Five Fisherman looked at me with bemusement. As a Titanic devotee, Halifax has been the omega for me. I’ve been to Belfast. Where the great ship was built, and Cobh. Nova Scotia was stop number four on my Canadian girls getaway. On a sunny day Nova Scotia burs...

rainy saturday: September 2014
http://rainysaturday.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 29, 2014. I didn't always love coffee. My first memory of coffee is my parents drinking foul-smelling instant coffee every morning with breakfast, each of them out of their special mugs, Mom's with milk, Dad's with milk and sugar. Long after Dad has gone off to work for the day, my mother would have a second coffee mid-morning and I'd marvel at how she seemed to enjoy something that smelled so disgusting. HOW are they drinking this shit? Happy International Coffee Day, coffee lovers!

Medicine, munchies and movement. The tales of a medical student finding the balance in life. Saturday, October 9, 2010. A Morning at the Market. Yes, yes, I realize it has literally been MONTHS since I have updated my blog and that many significant events have occurred in my life (i.e. returning from Benin and starting medical school). I will eventually touch on those things but right now I want to focus on today's adventure at hand:. The Halifax Farmer's Market. The Dartmouth Farmer's Market. This morni...

Atlantic Canada's Food Blog. A week in Halifax. I am so lucky because I am an at home stay mom, so when my husband goes on the business trip, kids and I drag along. Recently, we went to Halifax. Although the weather did not spoil us with sunshine, we had a blast there. Weather really does not matter when the hotel has a pool, and the kids (the oldest does not do it that often anymore) can jump on beds as much as they wish, right? My favourite coffee was at Smiling Goat Organic Espresso Bar. I tried PEI G...

Eco Yogini: Two Challenges: Breakfast and Caffeine
http://ecoyogini.blogspot.com/2015/02/two-challenges-breakfast-and-caffeine.html
An Ecoholic's guide to living Yoga. Halifax Yoga in the Park. Monday, February 16, 2015. Two Challenges: Breakfast and Caffeine. In keeping with the "living as if you're pregnant". Suggestion I've begrudgingly (if I am to be honest) been trying to make two, albeit healthy, changes in my life. One: eat some sort of breakfast most mornings of the week. Two: decrease caffeine consumption. Eat Some Sort of Breakfast Most Days of the Week. This was my breakfast one morning! Unbelievably Andrew and I have TWO ...
