Another Vancouver Japanese izakaya place opened in Toronto; similar to Guu Izakaya. I noticed Kingyo actually took the spot of the old StoneGrill. Restaurant. A small simple start-up with just plain glass counter displays of cookies and a list of variety ice cream. Cookies range from Birthday, RoCocoa, chocolate chip to oatmeal and more. Icecream goes from vanilla, burnt toffee, espresso, cinnamon toast just to name a few. Burnt coffee icecream and everything cookie. Bang Bang Ice Cream.

Lucas, now in 3rd grade, has talked about being an engineer since kindergarten (or perhaps even earlier? His handmade K "graduation" cap said: I want to be a ngeer, which his teacher helpfully translated into engineer for us. One of the five Lucas selected was nuclear engineer and he told me that nuclear engineers "work with the insides of atoms.". I have a post up.
