Midaia's Blog: Adoption
http://midaia.blogspot.com/p/adoption.html
Pray for safety and good health for "Stellan" and that our adoption runs smoothly. We can not wait to get to him and to get him home! From someone that visited "Stellan" last year:. Despite his obvious lack of proper nutrition he was very strong. He stuck his feet. Out of his crib on the floor and pulled himself to a standing position. He cannot walk. But with help he can take some steps. I strongly suspect this is due more to lack of. He vocalized vowel sounds and made good eye contact.

Midaia's Blog: Almost 3 Months Home

Tuesday, June 3, 2014. Almost 3 Months Home. Caleb is very easy to love. He is sweet and happy and easy going. He has already grown since coming home from the orphanage in that he is beginning to recognize that we are here for him- to love him, hold him, meet his needs. And relief washed over his face. He knew that I was concerned about him. He knew that I was going to take care of him. And he was all happiness as I scooped him up and held him and then went to get him water. If you lay beside him, he lik...

Midaia's Blog: January 2015
http://midaia.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 16, 2015. I think a lot of people think we chose our adoption because we wanted our adoption. I did want an adoption, but I don't think I "chose". We had a few friends and family reach out to us in case we wanted to discuss the challenges and trials of adoption and raising a child with special needs. I was open to these conversations, but I did not seek them out because ultimately, I did not feel like there was an option to reconsider and not pursue Caleb. I am humbled in this obedience.

Midaia's Blog: December 2013
http://midaia.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 31, 2013. New Year's Adoption Thoughts. I've been wanting to write a new post since it's been so long. But also not really wanting to write one because it can be hard to know what to say. Many of you have navigated here through Reece's Rainbow looking for adoption news, and that's the most uncertain thing in my life. So many orphans, but just one to join our family. Who, God? We looked at country programs and we looked at waiting child lists. But who, God? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Midaia's Blog: March 2014
http://midaia.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 24, 2014. Week and a half Home. To give everyone an update. Within a few days of getting home, Kali was throwing up. On day 3 with Caleb, I took him to urgent care and he had a pretty bad ear infection. (At first, I had thought his ear pulling was an institutionalized behavior.) Also, Titus had some sort of pink eye. Let's see. so far we've had a week of vomit, ear infections, pink eye, sinus infections, intense coughing, and sore throats. But ALSO nose bleeds! Overall, it's been pretty une...

Midaia's Blog: The Eight Month Nitty Gritty
http://midaia.blogspot.com/2014/11/the-eighth-month-nitty-gritty.html
Tuesday, November 11, 2014. The Eight Month Nitty Gritty. Thought I'd share the nitty gritty with ya'll- there's a little more that goes on than just the adorable photos that make their way to Facebook. When he lost his first front tooth. He also began exploring the sensation of gagging himself and making himself throw up recently. This culminated into a voicemail from the school nurse about how we needed to come get our son because he had forced himself to throw up everything in his stomach and then...

Midaia's Blog: Continue to Remember Easton!
http://midaia.blogspot.com/2014/08/continue-to-remember-easton.html
Monday, August 11, 2014. Continue to Remember Easton! Friends, I'm writing about. I cannot believe he is still there. Waiting. God is big and strong and powerful and wonderful and humbling and it's crazy that He took us around the globe for Caleb. And clearly that was the power of a lot of prayers at work. When I met Easton, he was not listed on a website like Reece's Rainbow. He was just an incredibly cheerful little boy that slept in the crib that bordered Caleb's and that clearly needed *desires!

Wednesday, October 30, 2013. Each of My Kids is Different. Tonight was crazy hair night at Awanas and if they wore a crazy hair style, they got to get prizes out of the treasure box. After explaining this to the kids, Titus was adamant that his hair not be crazy. Eventually the treasure lured him, though, and he acceded, "Alright, but just a little funny. I like my hair to look good.". Then taking them to Awanas tonight, Kali randomly burst out in a sad voice, "I wish I could count every house! So we get...
