Repairing the Cab - Page 4. May 9th - Little scrap brace removed. Four holes cut in the bottom plate to plug weld a support that is going back under the floor. Floor pan patches in place. The top firewall piece I am a little mad, I was inside spot welding it in place, alone, holding it with my hand through the hole for the heater core, and it slipped down. When I walked around to weld the outside. Inside view of 11ga. floor panels. Ready to plug weld. Plug welded in place. Also plug welded to floor.

Still going up, getting it over the shifters. It's off. Brian is rolling the chassis back out of the way. Now it will be much easier to assess the damage, easier to work on, and repair. Running gear. Repairing the Cab - Page 5. May 17th - Time to tie the floor in under the driver's seat riser. Brian made two panels. I made the last panel, punched all of them, and spot welded them in. Either they were not good spot welds to begin with, or they broke over time from opening the door too far, or they rusted away. The door check on this side was broken inside the A Pillar too, so maybe it was a combination of things. Here is where it will be when installed. I bolted the cab mount on to check alignment.

MORE CHEVY and GMC TRUCK TAIL GATE STUFF. This is the hinge on the left side of the truck bed. It is cupped and round. It should be greased often. When installing the tail gate, you put the left side on first. Left side Tailgate hinge. Same as the one on the bed, only slightly larger in diameter to fit over the one on the bed.
