Tech Now: Have you seen Alice today?
http://lifeinthewebzone.blogspot.com/2008/05/have-you-seen-alice-today.html
Integrating technology in the classroom. Wednesday, May 7, 2008. Have you seen Alice today? I'm a bit off on my making connections theme, but just bare with me for a minute. I have been working with gifted students over the last year and there is one student who is interested in animation and all that goes with it. Now, I am the first to admit that my understanding of animation software is minimal, but what I do know is that my district has none! And that was fun for about an hour. According to the Alice.

Tech Now: October 2007
http://lifeinthewebzone.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Integrating technology in the classroom. Tuesday, October 30, 2007. If we ever had to wonder if students are engaged in learning after school hours then this image says it all. I had to post this image (even with the names washed out) because I feel it is a concrete example of what students are doing after they leave the walls of the school. They are engaged in their own learning and the learning of the others in the class. Thursday, October 25, 2007. I've got one computer. What can I do? I have to say th...

Tech Now: February 2008

Integrating technology in the classroom. Monday, February 4, 2008. Get a Voki now! OKI am not breaking new ground here. Digital Storytelling has been around for a while and there are a lot of resources to help understand how they work. What I do believe, is that they are not be used enough. Students have a natural attraction to different media and digital stories offers them the opportunity to really bring out their creative side while also getting them to write. Take a look at this LINK. Getting student...

Integrating technology in the classroom. Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Why not be Animated! I have found one thing about students in the classroom. They like to draw. Often they are not happy with the quality of their work, but I always encourage them to work at it and keep moving forward. They also have an interest in animation. Leaves are Gone.Where is the Snow? Geocaching in various subjects. A new on-line report card for teachers. As a communication tool. Google documents as collaboration tools. This is...

Tech Now: Where Has the Time Gone!?!

Integrating technology in the classroom. Monday, September 29, 2008. Where Has the Time Gone! It seems like yesterday I was blogging and then nothing. That unfortunately is the life of an educator who is trying to manage too many projects at once. However, I feel it's time to get back at it. There are so many things happening in the world of tehnology and integration that I feel I need to get back into it. Or more accurately the Kidspiration3. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Integrating technology in the classroom. Tuesday, December 18, 2007. Tuesday, December 11, 2007. We often talk about students writing for an authentic audience. I mean how many of us wrote a paper for a teacher when we were in school to only have the teacher read it, mark it and hand it back to us. Then what happened? We looked at the mark and then tossed the paper. How many tossed papers would others have liked to read? Their completed essays are also there in text. Labels: Did you know. If you haven't ...
