Sunday, February 1, 2015. Last weekend we took a trip to Kentucky. First we went to the Louisville Temple then the next morning headed to Henderson Kentucky. We were hunting for Smithharts. Our first find was Smithhart Insurance. Off we went, guessing as we drove, and up over the hill was a little church. Stan jumped out and started looking. Nothing on the left, but on the right side he saw one that looked pretty old and found 5 Smithhart graves! Carolyn Amanda (Carrie) Kitterman. What an adventure!

Sunday, February 16, 2014. The temple is coming along. It is about 5 miles from us and we pass it every time we go to church. The Stake center next to the temple will be where our Ward will meet once the temple is finished. Progress is super slow due to the weather. Rendering of the temple at completion. Saturday, March 8, 2014. Friday we had a fabulous surprise! The sun was shining! The fear now is that we will skip Spring altogether and go right into Summer. It has been so wet and cold that they predict summer will be less hot but more humid. Oh boy! First time having the window open. The weather this week looks promising though except for Wednesday.snow. Other than that, look at a high of 63 degrees! I am so ready to start riding a bike and walking the Monon Trail. Friday, October 25, 2013. We went to California to visit Grandma Julie and do a couple activities. We had lots of fun and enjoyed our stay! We went to the pumpkin patch. Catherine maneuvered her way through the hay maze. Sped around the dirt track. Went on the train. Visited the zoo and the bear smiled for us. Grandma Julie got us into Disneyland. Where we saw Tinkerbell. Met up with Tami and the family. Eleanor joined us for the tea-cup ride. Eleanor is a whole head taller than Catherine.

Tuesday, February 22, 2011. 1st Day of School. We got up at 5:30 this morning. I got dressed then got a cranky Catherine dressed. Off the the bus stop we go to catch the bus. We got to the Crows Nest where the kids are picked up and waited for about 20 minutes for the bus to arrive. According to her teacher she did great in class today. When we got home we borrowed Bruce's welding mask and two sunglasses so we could get pictures of the eclipse. It was amazing and difficult to get the shots we wanted without an eclipse lens for the camera or ourselves. We did our best to not look at the sun without the glasses. Have a great day! Sunday, October 27, 2013. Fall Festival and Costume Contest. We went to the Fall festival on saturday. Catherine dressed up in her My Little Pony rainbow Dash costume and had a blast. Half way through the day Caroline, Kimmie, and Andrew joined us for the festivities. The kids played games for candy, colored, searched for candy, and jumped in the bounce house.
