http://clintandpattykennington.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Our Mission in Concepcion, Chile. Sunday, May 25, 2014. Late Fall in Concepción. Last Sunday we took the Outback to Chiguayante Sur and attended the ward in La Pradera. A number of young fathers were interested in applying for a Perpetual Education Fund loan, having missed out because of the age limit of 30 years. We come across many who want to follow up on studies they have had to abandon until now. Friday was another Felting class. The ladies were learning how to make multi-colored flowers. To make th...

Our Mission in Concepcion, Chile. Sunday, April 27, 2014. Our Outback in the downstairs parking lot. We didn't see lines for parking until too late, so when the other two cars were also parked, we looked like clueless extranjeros, foreigners. This view from the front door looks out toward the Bahia San Vicente in the distance. Turning a little to the right, you could also see the Bahia de Concepcion. Between the two bays is a cell tower hill. The marina in the Bahia San Vicente. The marina at Coronel.

Our Mission in Concepcion, Chile. Sunday, February 8, 2015. What we learned as Senior Missionaries. We visited our home ward, the Ontario 3rd, and were warmly welcomed. How wonderful it is to see old and faithful friends. We have known them for many years, and we have missed them. Malheur Butte, July 2013. 3 Although we never knew whether we were accomplishing anything or not, we always had the reassurance that we were in the right place. This was a great comfort. It made the miracles that ensued...For o...

Our Mission in Concepcion, Chile: August 2014
http://clintandpattykennington.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Our Mission in Concepcion, Chile. Sunday, August 31, 2014. Elder Kennington and I now have eighteen grandchildren! Nine girls and nine boys. Saturday morning, Jeff's Brielle gave her two little boys a sister, Junette Elizabeth. Since we have been on our mission two others have been born: Casey's Katie gave birth to the handsome and dimpled Isaac, and Jon and Carrie welcomed sweet-cheeked blonde Brynn Lee into the world on our May 10th anniversary. We feel very blessed. Above is a photo of the Gunnera Tin...

Our Mission in Concepcion, Chile: Farewell to Chile
http://clintandpattykennington.blogspot.com/2015/02/farewell-to-chile.html
Our Mission in Concepcion, Chile. Sunday, February 1, 2015. We knew this day would come, but it came more quickly than we expected. I was cleaning out the apartment- which was surprisingly full of stuff as small as it was- and Elder Kennington was in the process of selling our Outback with the help of Hno. Parra, our resident legal expert. For my birthday and our farewell, the senior missionaries of the Concepcion Mission took us to lunch at Restaurante Don Quijote. Mite- legal paperwork- to sell the Out...

Our Mission in Concepcion, Chile: November 2013
http://clintandpattykennington.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Our Mission in Concepcion, Chile. Sunday, November 24, 2013. Elder K. and I keep seeing these little hole-in-the-wall shops in which you apparently deposit pantyhose, socks, t-shirts, and other ropa interior, interior clothing. We asked Hna. Rosa and Romy about this, and they laughed and told us these are discount shops for brand new underwear. Whew. We were glad to know. My garden on the balcony. Hermana Rosa kindly gave me a few of her tomates cóctel. Hermana Balden, the mission nurse, wanted me to ask...
