...Breadbin News & Progress: Veggie Henge
http://flyingbreadbin.blogspot.com/2011/05/veggie-henge.html
Veggie Henge with straw bale starter patch for 2011. Looking down at the garden from the house, it looks as if an ancient tribe placed upright spikes around the straw bales for some obscure religious ceremony. In fact, it's the first step towards fencing in the vegetable garden we've planned. We've already got the rolls of weldmesh wire fencing in readiness for this next step and we're aiming to get the wire up over the course of the next two weeks. The bales, top dressed. ...Breadbin News & Progress: Final panels on the workshop
http://flyingbreadbin.blogspot.com/2011/10/final-panels-on-workshop.html
Final panels on the workshop. The workshop addition has been a long time coming and it's not done yet, but it took a big step closer to completion this weekend. Our trip to Oklahoma to see Rosina graduate and getting the garden established took a big chunk out of our finances and our available weekends this year. But, the final panel is on and the area above the door lintel has also been enclosed with wallboard. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Flying Breadbin Blog. Breadbin Build Wiki Updates.

...Breadbin News & Progress: Project creep - a leaking tap turns into a bathroom mini-renovation
http://flyingbreadbin.blogspot.com/2011/11/project-creep-tap-washers-to-new-sink.html
Project creep - a leaking tap turns into a bathroom mini-renovation. For months, now, a tap in the bathroom has been dripping and finally, even the firmest of tightening left it leaking. So we had a box of assorted tap washers of all sizes and shapes and I figured that it would be a simple matter to turn off the water, undo the tap, swap out the washer and - voila! Problem solved. What transpired was a weekend renovation. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Flying Breadbin Blog. To Participate or Post.

...Breadbin News & Progress: Slowing down a little to beat cancer
http://flyingbreadbin.blogspot.com/2011/09/there-hasnt-been-much-activity-on-site.html
Slowing down a little to beat cancer. There hasn't been much activity on the site due to illness in the family, which has rearranged priorities, time, and the focus of our lives. In time, we will pick up where we left off. I have spent a little time reading aviation-related email and updating the build wiki and there are some entries below:. Acronym list - you can see the additions below. Light Sport Aircraft, or LSA. Federal Aviation Administration, or FAA. FAA Assessment of Special LSAs. To Participate...

...Breadbin News & Progress: January 2011
http://flyingbreadbin.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Wiki pages listing update. I realized that its been a while since I have posted an update to the blog of new pages on my wiki other than the workshop and engine stuff and it really is useful for link density and search purposes - mine and for others - so this blog posting has a list of some of the pages added or updated over the past two months or so. A page to keep track of all the things attached to or going through the firewall. Several additions to this index. A bunch of additions to this page, too.

...Breadbin News & Progress: Christmas gifts
http://flyingbreadbin.blogspot.com/2011/12/christmas-gifts.html
Perhaps the biggest gift that Christmas provides is some time away from work to spend at home with family and recharge the batteries. It has also provided some uninterrupted daylight hours to tackle projects at home - and get a step closer to the point when I'll be able to get closer to using my workshop again and resume work on my Corvair engine conversion for aircraft use. ...Breadbin News & Progress: Flying with Moby Dick

Flying with Moby Dick. The seat belt just fitted when he was seated. If anything focused my mind on getting my aircraft built more quickly, this flight certainly did! ...Breadbin News & Progress: Old lab surfaces get new life
http://flyingbreadbin.blogspot.com/2011/07/old-lab-surfaces-get-new-life.html
Old lab surfaces get new life. The new old countertops, waiting for. Three basins, stacked together. What I didn't realize is how heavy lab countertops are. I was given the green light to take them and Cynthia and I drove up over the weekend with our trailer to pick up the items. It's mid summer, and the temperatures have been high, but the humidity has been what has made the days feel unpleasant. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Flying Breadbin Blog. ...Breadbin News & Progress: Not all quiet
http://flyingbreadbin.blogspot.com/2012/04/not-all-quiet.html
Although it seems everything has gone quiet for a period, it's just been my blog that has. I've been hard at work setting up my company, designing websites, business planning and critically considering the long-term sustainability of the venture. It's meant nothing significant has been accomplished on my aircraft project, although the workshop has seen progress and piecemeal progress continues.
