January 29, 2008. Thanks, Steff for sending me the yarn and the link for these easy and fun to knit hats! My Mom - Steff's Grandma - is going to China to visit one of her other granddaughters in early February. It is cold over there, so she asked for a warm hat that she could wear as easily as she could carry in a pocket if not needed. Here's several I knit in varying sizes and yarn weights. I'll be anxious to see which one she picks. Which one do you like? Update.and the winner is. Links to this post.

March 13, 2008. Will the Snow ever Stop! As I sit here looking out my window at more snow once again, I decided to finish my fingerless mittens ( fetching From Knitty). I love this yarn. Stampato Extra in Rosina, because it reminds me of spring-which I hope will be here sometime in July-I am sure it will take that long for the 4 feet of snow to melt in my yard! This is a very easy pattern to knit (Thanks, Steff! Links to this post. March 4, 2008. So only a few more shawls to go and my deadline is 3 weeks...

February 4, 2008. While the Little Grande clan was up for a visit this last week, my DIL showed me her lastest and greatest project. Whitney's 70s style ski hat. I knew if I waited long enough the 70's would come back! I decided to raid my stash (whoopie-stash reduction) but could only come up with girly colors.so with a little modification and lots of help from Steff-I was off and knitting. After TWO attempts my third was the charm. Thanks for letting me post to your blog Steff! Links to this post.

Cup Of Yarn: July 2008

July 22, 2008. Was my very first more complicated lace shawl. I just love the way it looks and I am surprised I was able to knit something like this! I used the Sheltland Triangle Pattern from Wrap Style by Pam Allen and Ann Budd. This was knitted in Kraemer Sterling Silk and Silver White Veil on size 6 needles. At first I was a little apprehensive about knitting this, but after I got into it, it went very quickly and was much easier then I thought it would be. Links to this post.

Cup Of Yarn: July 2007
http://cupofyarn.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
July 9, 2007. I started this project over a year ago. I really enjoyed knitting the top. It went really fast and looks so cute on her. I immediately started on the skirt and I always found other things I would rather knit. So one of my "new years resolutions" was to finish unfinished projects taking up room in my knitting baskets. The rest of the skirt was finished today! The patterns were in barefoot knits. Tankini and long skirt. Made with Brown Sheep Company Cotton Fleece in. A year ago to the month!
