How we all disobey the principal. I mean how can you NOT cheer for your kid and their friends. Any time their name is announced, they sing a song, their teacher's name is announced, they win an award, they have a speaking part. You get the idea. I have always been a rule follower. This is my time to break the rules.

Smitty Family Shenanigans.pieces of my heart. Saturday, July 31, 2010. Summer is coming to an end. The Smitty's have survived. Swimming on Monday and Wednesday mornings. Basketball Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Swim meets on Saturday mornings. Basketball on Saturday mid-mornings/afternoons. I am one tired Mama. James is one tired Dad. Calista is one happy girl. Basketball was our first experience with a team sport. Calista's cardiologist FINALLY cleared her to. She is a "baller" in our neighborhood park.

He kept asking to go home and lay down in his own bed. Good thing I was already planning on buying some pillows, because we just moved him to the back of the cart and let him lay down. It only took him about 15 minutes to let his eyes close and he napped through the entire rest of the shopping and the drive home. Walmart does that to me too.
