Pondering Life's Mysteries: Internet and the Bible
http://bretburchard.blogspot.com/2014/06/internet-and-bible.html
Sunday, June 29, 2014. Internet and the Bible. One of the coolest things about the Internet is you can find people like you. Have a crick in your neck? Someone out there has experienced or is experiencing the same thing and has shared a remedy. Other people are too. Trying to sustain a long distance relationship? You aren’t the first. Enjoy handcrafting wood furniture? There is a whole community that eats that stuff up! A community of people. So did the Israelites. So did Abraham and Sarah. If so, please...

Motivating, equipping and sending Christ-followers to proclaim the Kingdom of God. Unreached vs Unengaged: Biblical Foundation of prioritizing. Our heart is to be overseas among unreached people. We have seen the discrepancy between the needs and the amount of workers on the field. We are strategic mobilizers, raising up workers to go and serve especially among the unreached and marginalized. Currently, we serve in the GO Team. Michael is the VP of GO (or mobilization) these areas:. Outbound (our orienta...

8th & Wyandot: About
http://8thandwyandot.blogspot.com/p/about.html
Reflections of a man transformed by his time at 8th and Wyandot. We decided to move out of Joshua Station when I was invited to take over as Youth Director. Our role is very different now, but our reasons for being at JS are exactly the same. We love the families who have found themselves in our program. Since moving to Denver we have been blessed with two amazing children, Emery and Kilian, and a Welsh Collie named Zero. We are excited to see what lies ahead as our adventure continues!

Reflections of a man transformed by his time at 8th and Wyandot. Tuesday, May 12, 2015. You are already clean. 8220;You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.”. Nicholas decided to stay and talk after Teen Group. My heart broke that night. Nicholas wasn’t telling me that he didn’t believe in God. He did believe in a. We talked for over an hour about what I. At Joshua Station I have learned the importance of invitation. That word isn’t telling us how disappointing we are, but ra...

Sunday, May 23, 2010. The Greek word epic by definition is a lengthy narrative poem, ordinarily concerning a serious subject containing details of heroic deeds and events significant to a culture or nation. It is also a word that helps describe events that would be appropriate to be included in an epic. We might have set the expectations a little too high when 3 of my friends, Joanna-Taylor-Ryan, and I pre-claimed an east coast road trip as being not just that, but an epic east coast road trip. One of th...

Wednesday, June 5, 2013. Pike's Place, Where People Trump Profits. During my most recent visit to Seattle, my favorite city. I ended up at Pike's Public Market early, before it was even open. I wandered through the aisles and found a gathering of people around a whiteboard depicting the layout of the market. According to one bystander, it was morning roll call, so I stayed to watch. But tomorrow the people will sign in for work again and the market will spring back to life with new stories to hear. Just ...

Wolgablog: September 2014

Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Robby and Holly's Wedding. While in Ohio, we attended my cousin Robby's wedding (to the beautiful Holly). The girls haven't attended many weddings and they loved it. We found that weddings with kids can feel long. They aren't into the slower pace of a cocktail hour, waiting to be served, etc. But all of the effort to keep them happy was well worth it when the music started and my kids were the first ones on the dance floor. Monday, September 29, 2014. The other strong memory ...
