"I Was Running!": Another off week
http://myc25k.blogspot.com/2008/08/another-off-week.html
Thursday, August 7, 2008. Feeling under the weather this week. At this point I really don't know whether hub and I are just passing this crap back and forth between us or what. I didn't run Mon or Tues, but I did go yesterday. It was the perfect mix of sun, clouds, heat, wind and humidity. It felt nice. Don't get me wrong: it was hot! But it wasn't as bad as it has been. After my long rest, my legs felt really good. They've been pretty sore and I haven't massaged them as I should have. How I Got Here.

"I Was Running!": February 2011
http://myc25k.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 5, 2011. I don’t know exactly how to say this, but, then again, there are only so many ways to slice a pie, you know? Here it is: I am SO not feelin’ the love part of this hate-love relationship I have with running! I missed it (almost) the entire time I was away, and now that I’m back, I just am not feeling it. It feels more like work than anything. Like I have to. Run, instead of I want to. Run Which, I do. Want to run, that is. I just don’t want to have. And you can’t make me.

"I Was Running!": Week 3 Do-Over? Hated It!
http://myc25k.blogspot.com/2011/01/week-3-do-over-hated-it.html
Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Today was a hate-it. Kind of running day. After struggling last week with timing and energy and such, I decided to do Week 3 over. Following a particularly slow and dawdling morning, I self-imposed a shortened lunch hour today, which meant I would be running at the gym or somewhere near work instead of traveling home to go on my favored route. I could not bear the gym, so I improvised a route (2.35 miles) and set out. Nonetheless, I totally won. Now, here’s the trouble I ...

"I Was Running!": 8 weeks to 8k
http://myc25k.blogspot.com/2010/12/8-weeks-to-8k.html
Monday, December 20, 2010. 8 weeks to 8k. OK So, it's pretty obvious I needs me some help with the running gig. I found a local 8k trail run that might be just the thing. To get me back into my running groove. It's on February 20th and I'm all jazzed about having a goal to kick start the new year and get me back in the zone. I've set up an 8 week training program I think is going to work for me. Without further ado, here it is:. Wish me luck. I think I'm gonna need it! You dont need luck girl!

"I Was Running!": What happened!?
http://myc25k.blogspot.com/2008/11/what-happened.html
Wednesday, November 26, 2008. A) I've gotten to bed late (any time after 10:00) too many nights in a row. Hub is under threat of pain of death to get to bed by ten so he can stop "messing up my running"! B) I've had a mental block about running 2 days in a row. Kinda dumb since I used to run 5 days a week, since I used to run 2 and 3 days in a row when I was "in training". C) I'm plotting a big pre-Thanksgiving run tomorrow. By "big" I really mean more than my most recent 2-miler. E) All of the above.

Scorpion Sojourn: "It's amazing the clarity that comes with psychotic jealousy."
http://scorpionsojourn.blogspot.com/2007/10/its-amazing-clarity-that-comes-with.html
Friday, October 12, 2007. It's amazing the clarity that comes with psychotic jealousy.". I've had to allow myself some emotional distance from this one before writing it. It's been saved as a draft for almost 2 months now. That's how long ago I found out some news that made the green-eyed monster in me surface (and, yes, it's just a coincidence that I do, in fact,. See, we have this cousin. Maybe you have one like her. Maybe you. Even as adults, she graduated college before me even though she's a year yo...

Scorpion Sojourn: "I'm always lookin' out my own eyes."
http://scorpionsojourn.blogspot.com/2013/06/im-always-lookin-out-my-own-eyes.html
Thursday, June 20, 2013. I'm always lookin' out my own eyes.". When C awoke sporting the same fever he was sporting last night, having broken it and put it back together several times through the night, I was a little worried. Off-season colds worry me more than the on-season ones. Why? I'll have to get back to you. So, I texted my nurse-sister and got some nursley reassurance. And justlikethat, my work day was back on! Then, at some point throughout the course of the day, I came across this article.

Scorpion Sojourn: "Let's look Death in the face and say, 'Whatever, man!'"
http://scorpionsojourn.blogspot.com/2013/06/lets-look-death-in-face-and-say.html
Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Let's look Death in the face and say, 'Whatever, man! I am the saddest of sads about the tragic and untimely death of Google Reader. I've been practically despondent for months. {Simultaneous lack of posts a coincidence? Yes let's just blame Google for that, shall we? Not only does this feel like another way to force me into a smartphone (*shudder! Or into some other dark force such as Twitter (*double shudder! Let's observe a moment of silence. Some years ago, after my first preg...

"I Was Running!": January 2011
http://myc25k.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 24, 2011. Doing the Can-can: Week 4, Day 1. So much for "plans". Did you guess by now that Saturdays are not my most successful running days? Or that, try as I might, I can never make it up on a Sunday? Did you know that my race is on a Sunday? And I have no idea how that's going to work? Is my training all over the place? Do I routinely skip my third run? Is all I have to say. Started fresh off today! So, good thing I was home. Is all I have to say. Sucked. Mile 2? Week 3, Day 2). That s...

"I Was Running!": I DID IT! (Week 3, Day 2)
http://myc25k.blogspot.com/2011/01/i-did-it-week-3-day-2.html
Friday, January 21, 2011. Week 3, Day 2). I was tired. I had procrastinated. I had taken Excedrin. . . But, I had also left early from work with the intention of going on a sunset run. And so I did. That second mile is on an uphill grade, so it was a little tough. I was leery of a weirdo dude wearing jeans, sandals with socks, and a suit jacket and carrying all manner of boxy briefcase, plastic bags and cowboy boots. I wanted to say "wife kick you out? Hmmm Get back to you on that one.). No It wouldn't h...
