My Legs Hurt: The Most Underrated State, Missouri
http://bikebobby.blogspot.com/2008/05/most-underrated-state-missouri.html
Monday, May 12, 2008. The Most Underrated State, Missouri. I've decided that Missouri gets a bad rap. I have really liked the state. Its much more populated than I thought, with many small, fun towns. It is also very green with nice rolling hills. St. Louis is also much nicer than I thought it would be. We're staying at the Wash U Medical Center. Today was a short and easy ride. We did get lost for the 3rd time in 3 days. Here Anuj. Not at all the response I was expecting. May 15, 2008 at 1:07 PM. And ma...

My Legs Hurt: On Support
http://bikebobby.blogspot.com/2008/05/on-support.html
Sunday, May 4, 2008. I was on support for today's ride. It was about 100 miles in Western Kansas. In one of the first towns we went through, Katie and I pulled over to cheer on the riders. Once I pulled over I looked in my rear view mirror and saw that there was a cop behind me. After getting nervous, it turns out the cop was just checking to make sure I was ok. Yesterday's break at a donut shop that had run out of donuts. Hanging out after the ride in the Ness. Mayo Eve, our support group made a pinta.

Friday, July 25, 2008. So, we got our next electric bill and it was our lowest usage to date! Even as the weather has gotten hotter. I think it may have something to do with the fact that the kids are in day care rather than being watched in the home, but I'll celbrate anyway! Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Some Truly Geeky Anticipation…. 8220;What is so exciting about our electric bill? As you can see from the pretty line/bar graph below, our 2008 daily usage (in blue) is down from our 2006-2007 daily usages b...

I think it is the best thing ever.Whether you are sending something you don't need anymore to a good home, or requesting something that you need very much and someone else may be able to part with, it is a win-win situation! Everyone should go and join their local group now: http:/ www.freecycle.org. Monday, July 23, 2007. But in the appropriate situation, I am all in favor of not smiling. Whether it is a moment of deep deliberation ...

SuperGeekKnowItAll Tells You How It Is: Wow, Again
http://supergeekknowitall.blogspot.com/2008/11/wow-again.html
Tuesday, November 04, 2008. I just got back from voting. It took me about an hour and a half. I have never seen anything like it in the past 10 years when I've been at this voting location. It was just so great to see so many people out there exercising their right to vote. And FYI. If you were wondering, my excited support for Sara Palin did not last long. I have put together a line chart to express it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Wednesday, February 11, 2009. The Problem of For-Profit Jails: One Disturbing Example. I have been so incredible troubled by Prison-For-Profit in this country. The United States has the most individuals per capita in jail out of any other country. At the end of 2007, there were 2,293,157 individuals in jail (see Bureau of Justice Statistics http:/ www.ojp.gov/bjs/prisons.htm. The prison populations has QUADRUPLED since 1980 in this country. Has the highest documented per capita. Shouldn't we be shocked?
