The Old Absinthe House. Not much has changed in the Old Absinthe House since 1949. Maybe a few more notes on the message boards…. It was nice to see the same place the travelers enjoyed, although we didn't have a drink. It was too early in the morning. Bourbon St. and Rain. New Orleans, 2013. Was published, but had never met. In the next few weeks, I'll share pictures from that trip. I am Terri Karsten, daughter of John Evert, one of the three young men to tackle the Arkansas River in 1949.
