Media coverage of the SM4 installation in Sweden. During the installation of the second SM4 snowsensor in Sweden, TV crews and reporters joined LTU researchers at the trip to Ritsem road in order to provide material for media. The end user group appointed in Sweden presented their problems with avalanches and snowdrift on the Ritsem road in TV news. The SNAPS project is presented in following Swedish media in February:. A part of the SNAPS project is to produce "near real time" snow maps for the target areas. These maps are based on different types of satellite data, and they show the snow cover, the wetness of the surface snow, and water equivalent (in coarse resolution). Video from Tromsö area (Norway).
