My intial imopression of this book is that he is a very brave guy. he also knew what he wanted to do and didnt look back on it and ever think that it was a bad idea in any way. Brave, this is because chris never thought about going back and had a courage to go into the wild in th first place. If you had to say that there is a theme it would be to not get stuck in a life threatening position. i would like to say this Right.
