I've been contemplating what my next blog post should be about for some time now – so much has been happening; good and bad. But my head is such a jumble most days that, I fear this will come out in my writing and what I want to say won’t get said and will end up filled with irrelevant information! I guess I need to write about May and June. Let’s go back to May 2011. Obviously this was a massively emotional month after Dexter made his entrance nine weeks too early. There will always be blame and guilt.

I have once again neglected this blog, but this time, I have a very legitimate reason! The four weeks that have passed since my last post have been busy – very busy. One of those days. I always knew having two kids would be harder than one. Everything has to be doubled – twice the feeds, twice the nappies, twice the baths. Some days it seems all I do is feed, change, feed, change, feed, change – sleep! Some days pass in a blur, with appointments and therapies having to be completed. Some days never seem to end and some pass by uneventful. I have watched others with multiple kids, so I knew what to expect and I knew it could be done. But then, my kids were different.

I'm at home with the independent and creative Miss Chookie (2005), the energetic Mr. Little Dude (2006) who gives fantastic cuddles and the cheeky, gregarious Miss Noodles (2008). Together with Big Dude, I have a garden that is nurtured on hope as it's prone to neglect. I enjoy cooking although my specialty is a last minute meal thrown together from garden produce and whatever I can find in the cupboard. I'm trying to live more sustainably and simply but I've given up on ever finding joy in cleaning.
