The folio of Christopher Bews, an Interaction Designer in London. Digit: Simple Human Interaction. A new company website featuring a dynamic homepage and a resizing, shuffling grid system used for viewing portfolio content. I programmed the transitions and the dynamic scaling grid system seen within each section. A portfolio page is built dynamically within a grid. When a block is clicked, it scales up and pushes away nearby blocks, which then re-arrange themselves.

The folio of Christopher Bews, an Interaction Designer in London. Wilkinson Sword: Butterfly Effect. A website created to support several viral videos in a marketing push for Wilkinson Sword's range of shavers. I animated the logo, the spherical world on the homepage, and various decorations used throughout the site. The homepage features a small animated world that evolves from a grassy sphere.

The folio of Christopher Bews, an Interaction Designer in London. Love Food Hate Waste. An original light-hearted game created to gently educate players about food waste, featuring a core food management game and several minigames within. I created the design document, wireframes and animated each of the characters as well as miscellaneous effects. The title screen that is seen at the start of the game. These brief instructions appear just before the game starts.

The folio of Christopher Bews, an Interaction Designer in London. Marks and Spencer: Plan A Restructure. A redesigned and fully rebuilt site better able to present the larger quantity of content that the site had to contain, with cleaner and more accessible HTML. I did the XHTML and CSS build on this project. The new site features it's own header, distinct from the parent M&S site. Indexes are presented in a more ordered and easy to browse format.

The folio of Christopher Bews, an Interaction Designer in London. Marks and Spencer: Plan A. A website and set of animations created to explain M&S's 'Plan A' environmental initiative to it's customers in a friendly and informal way. I did the animation (not the design) in the stories and the initial site wireframes. The climate change animation starts off with a hand-animated polar bear. The waste animation contains this scene that cycles through the seasons.

The folio of Christopher Bews, an Interaction Designer in London. A small application that allows users to take a tour around the UK and find out about the farmers that provide M&S with their British food. I programmed this in Actionscript 3. The homepage builds up by first showing a quote from a featured farmer (from an XML file). The user can select which farmer to view first by using the map that appears on the homepage.

The folio of Christopher Bews, an Interaction Designer in London. A simple Wordpress-powered website created to promote a new brand of sausages. I did the build on this project, including Wordpress implementation and Javascript/CSS/XHTML. The homepage contains blog entries on the right, while the content on the left is generated from the 'pages' section of Wordpress and pulled in. The lightbox was created from scratch, using jQuery's animation and selection abilities.

The folio of Christopher Bews, an Interaction Designer in London. A small application built to educate Nokia employees regarding how other departments within the company work, and what their aims are. I created the 3D animation and programmed the full application in Actionscript 3. The homepage features an animated 3D card selection method of navigation. As a video plays, bullet points on the right highlight at relevant points in the video. Those points are marked on the video player's progress bar.

The folio of Christopher Bews, an Interaction Designer in London. A simple application that provides definitions for financial terms, as well as related content on the DirectGov site. I programmed the display in Actionscript 3, which is all done in percentages to allow for a fully fluid layout wich can elegantly scale to fit whatever size a user embeds the application at. Results from a search for 'recession', showing results from Google on the left and results from the Direct Gov site on the right.
