Snow place like home: June 2015

Saturday, June 27, 2015. Aiden continued with swimming lessons, working on floating and putting his face in the water while moving his arms. We celebrated Father’s Day. These boys sure love their daddy. Aiden and I had dental appointments and got good reviews. Landon was excited to get a toothbrush too. We had the missionaries over for dinner, and Aiden had fun shucking corn with me and picking lemons with Daddy to make fresh lemonade. And we had Chili’s for dinner and ice cream for dessert. Aiden is tak...

Saturday, November 29, 2014. I am so thankful to have a job where I get to be home for the holidays. Last week I was literally at work more hours than I was not at work for three straight days, and I was completely wiped out by Friday, but it was so worth it because this week I got to stay home! I am thankful for a sweet husband. On Monday, Isaac and I went to see. I am thankful for technology. I am thankful for good weather! Teresa and Sarah came to visit us from Provo! I am thankful for fun. We put up ...

The Bookworm Confessions: August 2012
http://thebookwormconfessions.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 27, 2012. First day of school. It's one of my last first days of school. Such a strange feeling. I've only been a student for almost 80% of my life, you know? I think the reason first days are so exciting, iconic, important. to us is that they are new beginnings, and as humans we love new beginnings. For instance, today I put on my ring. A ring I haven't worn all summer for a random and insignificant reason. But today when I saw it, I put it back on. Why? Links to this post. Oh, Hey There.

Thursday, July 24, 2014. More summer maximization…. Isaac started a second restaurant job since EB seems a little unstable right now and since I’m home with the boys, it’s easier for him to work more hours. Getting familiar with a new staff and menu is an adjustment, but he’s doing great so far. We helped throw a comic book/superhero themed baby shower for Brooke. Don’t worry. Sophie didn’t chase it out until after I stopped recording. We went to the beach… (photo dump…). Wednesday, July 16, 2014. At eig...

Thursday, May 7, 2015. Aiden is acting very grown up sometimes. He asks thoughtful questions, figures out difficult concepts more quickly, and is getting more excited about kindergarten. He is also very excited to take a few plane trips this summer and loves to tell people about it and show them on his US Map placemat where he will be flying. This is his artwork from the super fun birthday party he attended for his friend Xochitl. Landon is 18 months old! And just for fun, a blobby-looking #3:. Speaking ...

Monday, August 31, 2015. Aiden started Kindergarten last week! When he had a primary assessment in the spring and was asked to go into the classroom with the other kids and teachers but no parents, he had a mini-meltdown, so I was pretty nervous about this fall, but he did great! He is going to the same elementary school I went to “a few years ago”… but I don’t think a single person on staff when I was there is still there… shocking…. Wednesday, August 19, 2015. 8 lb 6 oz. 6 lb 14 oz. 7 lb 5 oz. 7 lb 3 oz.

Friday, August 22, 2014. I was lucky to be able to visit Mandy and Bryant in Kent, WA with the boys and my parents. Poor Isaac had to stay home to work, and we missed him. It was nice to see where Bry and Mandy are living now and to spend some time with them. Aiden was so excited the night before that he slept with his clothes and backpack on. The drive took us about 14 hours, so we were all happy when it was time to get out of the car! These boys were definitely worn out from our adventures! I would say...
