The End of the Road. Apr 27th, 2010 at 11:27 AM. Jo and I flew to Portland, OR, and drove out to the beach at Seaside, where we spent two nights. Then we drove back to Astoria, where we met her cousin Rosemary and husband Dale. They took us to the Columbia River Maritime Museum. And then out to supper. Later we drove out to the south jetty at the mouth of the Columbia for sunset. There was a wooden platform from which you could see the waves crashing.
